About Us

Listowel Childcare was established in September 2007. The 4,500 sq ft crèche has been designed to very high standards and this is reflected in the building, equipment, play area and team employed.

Services We Offer

Full Day Care

Catering for children aged 6 months to 12 years. 7.30am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year. Hot dinners and evening snack included. Sleeping facilities available.

ECCE Preschool

Government funded programme for children aged 2 years 8 months to 5 years. Learn through planned activities based on Aistear and Síolta based curriculums. 9am – 12pm, Monday – Friday. A team of over 40 qualified Early Years Educator’s. All ECCE room having nappy changing facilities

School Age Care

Collections at Presentation Primary School, Scoil Réalta na Maidine, Gaelscoil Lios Tuathail, Dromclough National School, Kilocrim National School. Large green outdoor area.

Wobblers (12-18 months)

2 x Playschool Rooms

Playschool (2-3 years)

3 x Preschool Rooms

Pre-school (3-5 years)

Afterschool

Afterschool (4+ years)

Childcare Funded Programmes

There are currently 2 Government funded childcare support schemes in operation for parents & families.

Childcare services enter into a contract with the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration & Youth to receive funding to deliver childcare through the support schemes.

Parents apply through the Childcare service of their choice to access one of the support schemes.

Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme (ECCE)

The Early Years Childhood Care & Education (ECCE) Scheme is a government funded initiative that provides up to 2 FREE academic years of preschool to children who have turned 2 years 8 months before the beginning of September of the upcoming academic year

The National Childcare Scheme (NCS)

The National Childcare Scheme (NCS) provides financial support to help with your childcare costs. There are two types of childcare subsidy for children aged between 24 weeks and 15 years of age: A universal subsidy which is not means tested and an income-assessed subsidy which is means tested.
